•The Result: Your “private property” starts to feel like you are just renting it from the government.
Redefining “Private” as “Public”
A major red flag is when the state claims the right to regulate what happens inside your home or business under the guise of “public interest” or “safety.”
Here are the common signs that a government is attempting to expand its control:
The “Crisis-Response” Cycle
Governments often use an emergency (economic crash, pandemic, or conflict) to grant themselves temporary powers that somehow become permanent.
•The Sign: New agencies or “emergency” regulations that remain in effect long after the crisis has passed.
•The Result: A higher baseline of state interference than before the event.
From a libertarian or monarchist-libertarian perspective, the expansion of state power is rarely a single event. Instead, it’s a series of “encroachments” on private property and individual autonomy.

The Insurance Model: To avoid being a “helpless victim,” individuals would likely hold private insurance for their person and property. If you are harmed,
your insurance company (which has a direct financial interest in your well-being) takes on the burden of seeking justice and restitution for you.
In modern states, the case is “The State vs. The Accused,” often leaving the victim as just a witness with no real power. In a monarchist private order, the case is between the victim (or their insurer)
and the perpetrator. The focus shifts from “breaking a state law” to “restoring a private property right.”
How to Avoid “Victim Blaming” via Private Law
•Replacing the “People vs. Defendant” Model:

An “undocumented” immigrant could be considered “legally invited” based on private contractual authorization rather than state permission
Monarchist Libertarians argue that economic growth does not justify violating property rights. They would rather have a smaller, “higher-quality” population of invited guests than a mass of uninvited people, even if the latter increases GDP.
The clash with “agendists” (proponents of an abundance agenda) is sharpest here:
•Agendists might want more immigrants to solve labor shortages and drive economic growth (increasing “abundance”).
